Job descriptions:
• Initiates and maintain positive relationships with local, national, and international media in order to generate newsworthy publicity. Develops media programs and acts as designated company spokesperson with the media.
• Designs MarCom. objectives and strategies to meet hotel’s goals including key messages targeted public, company position statements and promotional campaigns. Develops annual department budget to effectively accomplish objectives stated.
• Manages MarCom. department, ensuring excellent quality of work product consistent with the image and standards of the Hotel. Conducts periodic needs assessment for associates and equipment and makes necessary recommendations to management.
• Supervises, directs and edits the development (copy, design, layout) of all collateral products in-house/agency graphic design (promotional flyer, brochures, menus, guest information pieces, signs, forms, invitation, etc.)
• Plans and directs the development of all press informational materials, special photography, newsletters and other communication vehicles necessary to publicize and promote the company in general and special programs in particular.
• Create positive, strong presence with target public (other than press) in the local community by involving management in civic and professional organizations and organizing PR activities.
• Supportive to hotel training programs to assure the continual upgrading of department personnel.
