·         The duty engineer is the principal when he is on duty, he is in charge of the basic operation and maintenance work  of  engineering department
值班工程师当班时，是当班的负责人。负责工程部的基本运作及维修保养工作。
·         Ensures that hotel  rules are followed and obeyed
确保遵循酒店规章                         
·         Ensures punctual attendance and adherence to duty schedules by all subordinate supervisors             
确保按时出勤并使所有下属主管都遵照值班表工作，根据总监要求巡查有关重要机房及公共区域                               
·         Ensures that personal grooming and hygiene standards are being observed by doing spot checks in the morning
通过早上随时抽查，确保员工仪表卫生良好
·         Ensures all engineering employees follow the Engineering Standards and Procedures as issued from time to time
确保所有工程部员工遵循不定期发出的工程标准及程序
·         Responsible for the proper organization and functioning of the energy management function of the Engineering Department
负责工程部门能源管理功能的适当的组织及实施
            
·         Analyses and monitors energy costs and expenditures for the department
分析并监督部门能源成本及费用                                                  
·         Maintains an equipment and machinery record system for the property，do the hand-over work in accordance with Langham Hotels Group rules
保留酒店设备及机器记录,按朗廷酒店集团的规定做好交接班工作。
·         Prepares on-duty Log and conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
作好当班记录，进行交班情况说明以确保酒店情况及运营要求被告知给接班人
·         Recommends to the Chief Engineer, new policies and procedures for a more economical operation and maintenance program       
向总工程师建议新政策及程序以获取更经济的运营及维修保养方案                                   
·         Participates in the preparation of the annual  engineering department Budget
参与年工程部预算的准备
·          Provide unique and high quality service for our guests forwardly. Interacts and cooperates with Hotel guests and outside contractors as directed by his superior  
主动向酒店客人提供独特、高品质的服务。按其上级指令与酒店客人及外包商进行互动与协商   
·         Cooperates and communicates with other sections in the Engineering department
与工程部内部的其它小组进行合作及交流
